Plano Symphony Orchestra: Patriotic Pops
If you are a music lover, don’t miss Patriotic Pops this year! Hosted by the Eisemann Center, the Plano Symphony Orchestra will be joined by the Patriotic Pops Chorus and many other North Texas choral singers on July 4 at 3 PM for a performance you won’t want to miss.
Plano’s All American Fourth Firework Show
If you just want to watch some fireworks, you can’t go wrong with Plano’s show, hosted at the Oak Point Park & Nature Preserve. The fireworks start at 9:30 PM, but the entire event, featuring food trucks, music, and more, starts at 5. The choreographed fireworks demonstration is free for the whole family!
Liberty by the Lake Festival (The Colony)
Because of high lake levels, Liberty by the Lake has relocated this year to The Colony Five Star Complex. Happening on July 4th, this free event culminates in a fireworks display at 9:30 PM. Earlier in the day you can take part in a watermelon-eating contest and several fun runs at LISD Natatorium.
Plano Lions Independence Day Parade
Running from 9 to 11 AM, this parade is a great way to start your 4th of July celebrations. The parade will begin at the Plano ISD administration building and end at Plano Senior High School. This year’s theme is “Spirit of America.” Don’t miss it!
Independence Fest (Flower Mound)
For a family day out, commencing with a Children’s Parade from Lewisville ISD and finishing up with fireworks at 9:50 PM, why not head to Flower Mound for the annual Independence Fest? The event also includes a vintage car show, live music, and children’s activities.
Addison Kaboom Town
Happening on July 3rd, you won’t want to miss the legendary fireworks at Addison Kaboom Town. Often considered one of the best firework shows in the United States, it is free to everyone, but space is limited. It’s highly recommended to arrive early, so you can find a spot. Gates will open at 4 PM.
In addition to the fireworks at 9:30, the event features the Addison Airport Air Show; food; drinks; entertainment; and the Emerald City Band, which will perform immediately after the fireworks if you want to avoid the traffic.
Independence Day Celebration (Farmers Branch)
Also on July 3rd is the Independence Day Celebration hosted in Farmers Branch. It’s a smaller event but offers plenty of entertainment and fun for every member of the family. There’s live music and a kid zone, featuring bounce houses, activities, games, and more.
Arrive early for this Independence Day Celebration! It’s free, and space fills up quickly. Don’t forget to take part in the Patriotic Celebration and partake of the delicious food available! Your family can get in on the fun when doors open at 6:30 PM.
