Your Typical Day
As a Plumbing Technician at CW Service Pros, you start your day greeting your co-workers. Your truck is ready to go with all of your equipment and supplies. With your plumbing apprentice trainee, you drive to your first customer’s house to work on their plumbing.
You’re always ready to face any challenge. You speak professionally with your customers to educate them on their options. You find and implement the best solution, always providing the highest quality work so that the customer is thrilled with your service.
When the repairs are complete and your work area is cleaned up, you talk with the customer and take care of the needed paperwork. Together with your apprentice, you drive to the next house, looking forward to solving the next challenge.
Work as part of the team: You communicate effectively and openly with your supervisor, your apprentice, your co-workers, and your employers. You make sure all work orders are completed thoroughly and efficiently. You know that keeping focused on each customer’s satisfaction is the ultimate goal and that a team mindset will get you there.
Develop expertise: Your expertise in the installation and repair of residential plumbing systems grows every day. You’re proud to know that your continually increasing knowledge helps the people in your community to live safer, more comfortable lives. Safety is always your top priority when responding to urgent requests and emergencies.
Earn trust through professionalism: Your work orders, bids, inventory, and other paperwork are clear and complete to be sure everyone from the customer to the office team is fully informed. Your tools are always clean, neat, safe, and ready to use. Every day you take pride in being a trusted expert in your field.
Strong desire to learn: You have a high school diploma or equivalent. You’re driven to learn more every day because you want to improve your life and advance your career. You’re enthusiastic about every project and every opportunity. You strive to exceed the expectations of your customers and your team.
Technical knowledge and people skills: Handing equipment, technical information, basic math and geometry are no problem for you. You’re both comfortable and professional whenever talking to homeowners and explaining their options. You look forward to finding the best solution to every new challenge.
Readiness to work: You have experience servicing residential plumbing customers, including troubleshooting, diagnosing, repairing and installing water heaters, tubs, toilets, sinks, faucets, showers, valves, pipes, drains, water softeners, and other plumbing fixtures and processes. You have your own complete set of the plumbing tools needed for comprehensive plumbing diagnosis and repair. You have a driver’s license, a strong work ethic, and a can-do attitude. You can handle physical demands like heavy lifting, balancing on a ladder, and standing for extended periods. You can crawl through and work in enclosed spaces.
