Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Controller and Human Resources professional to manage our organization’s financial and HR functions. With a strong background in accounting and finance and experience in human resources management, you will have the opportunity to make a real impact on our business and be part of the leadership.
Essential Functions
- Take the lead in overseeing the financial operations of our organization, including budgeting, forecasting, inventory, and reporting.
- Develop and implement financial policies and procedures that drive success.
- Manage the payroll and benefits programs, ensuring our team members are taken care of.
- Lead the annual audit process and maintain strong relationships with external auditors.
- Supervise bookkeeping and provide guidance and support as needed.
- Handle employee relations issues with ease, including handling employee complaints and grievances.
- Maintain and update employee records, including performance evaluations and benefit enrollment.
- Develop and implement HR policies and procedures that support our team.
- Oversee the recruitment and onboarding process for new employees.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in accounting and finance, with at least 3 years of experience in HR management
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to oversee team members.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks)
- Tech savvy and comfortable working in multiple online databases
